'Shades of Light' perform a play on light, transparency and layerdness.
Changing the position of the LED's will create new patterns and shapes. Shades of Light adds a new dimension to curtains, draperies, wallpapers and room dividers.
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Aoife Wullur designs work that discusses technical transparency, authenticity, and human experience. Essentially, it is conceptual design with a technological touch. Wullur's work takes a close look at our rapidly growing tendency to surround ourselves with all kinds of devices that we do not understand technically even though we use them on a daily basis. In response, she has created what she calls 'Slow Electronics', an approach that reflects on our behavior and shows the sensibility and beauty of technical transparency in design. For her SHADES OF LIGHT and LIGHT DIVIDER project, she has developed a new way of interweaving electronics and fabric.

Het veranderen van de positie van de LED's, creeert nieuwe patronen en vormen. Shades of Light voegt nieuwe dimensies toe aan gordijnen, draperieen, muurbekleding en kamerschermen.
BIOGRAFIE DESIGNER
Aoife Wullur's projecten gaan over techniek, transparantie, authenticiteit en de menselijke beleving. Het is conceptueel design met een technologische inslag. Wullur's werk zoomt in op onze snelgroeiende behoefte om steeds meer elektronische producten te gebruiken, zonder dat we werkelijk begrijpen hoe ze technisch werken. Zelfs als we ze dagelijks gebruiken, blijft de techniek verborgen voor het oog. Als reactie hierop introduceert ze: 'Slow Electronics', een stroming die ons gedrag bekritiseert en tegelijk de gevoeligheid en schoonheid laat zien van technische transparantie in design. Voor haar projecten SHADES OF LIGHT en LIGHT DIVIDER heeft ze een nieuwe manier ontwikkeld om elektronica en textiel met elkaar te verweven.
